IBS Treatment With Ayurvedic Medicine
by Sandra Kim Leong

If you have been trying different medications for your IBS without success, then perhaps you should consider other options for your IBS treatment. Learning about the different medications and treatment methods may be your key to finding something that will work to help control your IBS. There are in fact many IBS treatments available via natural remedies. One of them is called Ayurvedic medicine.

Ayurvedic medicine comes from India, but there are faithful followers of this treatment method around the world. Ayurvedic means “life and knowledge” and it is based on the idea that it is able to help balance the body and all of its systems. It is believed that when your body is balanced, your IBS symptoms will decrease.

In Ayurvedic medicine, it is believed that there are three kinds of “doshas” that are attached to your body and they determine whether you are healthy or not. If your “doshas” become unbalanced, then you will have health problems, including IBS and other health conditions, according to this ancient healing method.

If you have other health issues besides IBS, then Ayurvedic medicine will be an excellent way to heal them as well. Ayurvedic medicine has been found to be effective for respiratory problems, skin problems, and other health problems. Ayurvedic medicine first finds the symptoms that need rebalancing and then works to find the proper methods of healing for whole body balance.

If you want to consider IBS treatment via Ayurvedic medicine, then you will first need to find an Ayurvedic practitioner. You will find this visit a little different from a mainstream doctor’s visit in that the practitioner will look at different parts of your body to see how they are functioning. This includes examining your tongue, voice, and skin, taking your pulse, looking at your general appearance, and looking at your stools and urine to see how your body is functioning.

From looking at these body parts, your practitioner will be able to determine what is imbalanced in your body. They will then be able to relate the imbalances together. For example, if your skin is greasy or your pulse is too fast, these both can relate to the IBS imbalance that you have.

The practitioner will then determine an IBS treatment method for you that may include herbs and other medications. There will also likely be massage methods that can help you with getting your body in balance. Diet changes may be advised as well as regular exercise to help balance your system.

Using Ayurvedic medicine for IBS treatment will work to balance your system. Get recommendations for someone who is a practitioner of this kind of medicine. Relieve your symptoms and get rid of your pain!
