There are actually various ways of treating IBS. These are not limited to consuming medications. One such treatment for IBS is do detoxification.

Enemas For IBS

If your IBS symptoms are constipation related and if you have tried other options that failed to work, you can consider using enemas. Enemas for IBS consist of liquids to clean out the colon area. They can include coffee, water and a variety of different substances. Basically, you inject this mixture into your rectum and colon to help clean out the digestive tract.

You should only use enemas for IBS if your doctor thinks it is safe for you to do so. Also, you may not wish to perform the procedure yourself and may need the help of a health practitioner. Overdependence on using enemas for IBS to help clear your bowels is not advised.
